Debid is right. You can tell boy/girl by the saddle feathers there in front of his tail and the hackle feathers on his neck, and all the red in the wing triangle.

Thank you all. I thought he was most likley a roo, and now that I see the side view in the pics I can really tell what you are talking about on the saddle feathers and the sickle feathers. Thanks for that. Anybody have a guess on how old they are? The group in the first pic.
