Hi. I have a one year old rabbit and I just found out that my rabbit had ear mites and I also noticed a little bit of hair loss on the side of one of her ears. So I tryed treating the ear mites with coconut oil with a little bit of 100% tea tree oil mixed in. The crusty stuff in her ears has cleared but know, the place she had lost a little hair is getting red and she had lost more hair on her ear. Thanks

How long did you treat for? She could just be over-grooming her ears because the oil is uncomfortable. Did you resolve her digestive issues?
I put it in once a day for two days then I gave her a little break from it today. And yes she has gotten much better and has normal poop, thanks for all your help I really appreciate it

I'm glad she's returned to normal. I suspect she's just grooming her ears a lot because of the oil. I like to use a less flavorful/bad tasting oil like baby oil so they're less inclined to lick their ears.
You should probably just continue treating for a week, then at least once a week for a month to catch any mites that hatch out.
