Squatting DOES NOT equal hen!! I have a Welsummer Rooster that is 7 months old, and have hand raised since he was 3 days old. He squats & squawks up a storm, whenever I go to pick him up, which is daily. I do this to keep him tame, gentle and manageable. I trust him explicitly and he has never danced me or bit me, he is THE BEST Roo that we have.

Awww thank you. He is a big boy now, I need to take more recent pics, of all my flock. He has the tail streamers now, I love them. I highly recommend the Welsummer breed, they are very sweet, and can tolerate both the heat and the cold.
