Here is moony.
I have made another thread about him before, but I'm checking again just for fun since he's grown a bit. He was hatched in an egg by someone else who rehome him to me. I've had mixed responses. Some said that he does look like a splash ameraucana, others say his coloring is too patchy and he's an EE. I don't care either way but I just thought I'd try to guess because I want to try to know what color eggs his offspring will lay. I have some pullet eggs due to hatch by the 29th and he's the only roo with our hens. The only obvious color leakage in him is one singular buff feather on his shoulder. His saddle feathers have a hint of amber/yellow but it's barely noticeable and mostly looks white.

He is 27 weeks old, so basically full grown already.
Any guesses appreciated!

I definitely don't know enough to answer your question, so I'll leave that for others who do.

I just wanted to say how gorgeous he is! His coloring is amazing, and that one singular feather is just the cutest thing!

He has the correct leg color and beard, muffs but you would have to check the SOP to be sure about the color. And I can’t remember what comb style they’re supposed to have. Since true Ameraucanas have an SOP that is the best place to look.

Thank you! He is so gorgeous 😍. Once more roo feathers grow in he'll be even more handsome!

I heard that splash is not an APA recognized color for ameraucanas? So I don't think his color would be on it.

Do you have a front view of the comb? Ams are supposed to have a pea comb, I can’t tell if his is a true pea or a modified pea. He does have quite a bit of leakage, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not pure.
I don't have any close up photos of the front view, and these are the best I can do for now. If you need better photos I can go catch him but since he's extremely hard to catch I just dug out some photos from my phone.
