Is my rooster a sicilian buttercup? Does he look like a sicilian cross. The pictures that I have seen, the roosters seem darker in the chest than mine. He has some longer crest feathers. They stood up in a small poof on top of his head as a chick. He was hatched in my son's kindergarten class last spring. The teacher got eggs from a few different people (no hatcheries)

Probably part buttercup, unless he is part V comb and part single comb bird and they just happened to mix right? Not pure though. No white earlobes, never seen a buttercup with a tassel, and buttercups have green/slate legs i believe. Plus your bird seems a little bulky to me, like he has some heavy breed in him.

I recognize that beauty from the rooster contest... No matter what he is - I want one!!! He definitely has the buttercup comb, and the coloring is beautiful!

He is either a Sicilian Buttercup cross (with the color and half-crest) or a cross of a V-combed bird and a single or pea-combed bird.

So no, he's not technically a Sicilian Buttercup.

His ear lobes are partially white. The last picture didn't show that well. So maybe buttercup and polish?
He is a character! He growls at his girls when they don't follow the rules. NO RUNNING, NO JUMPING, NO FLAPPING OF WINGS. We call him the yard duty.

Not sure, but it would be something else too other than buttercup and polish. Both have slate legs I believe except maybe buttercups have green? He has white, and like I mentioned he is bulky like a production breed. A polish and buttercup cross would be smaller I think.
