Is my rooster a sicilian buttercup?

He could be a Houdan/Buttercup cross. Houdans are a little bigger than Polish and have the white legs.

There are other crested breeds too that the buttercup could be mixed with like the Appenzeller or Spitzhauben... They aren't APA recognized breeds yet so I don't know what their standards would call for.

Spitzhaubens have slate legs, not white or yellow. Buttercups legs are willow green.

Looks like something of Polish cross with Buttercup. He has the prominent V going on in there. A buttercup comb does not look like that from the hatchery Buttercups I've had. most Polish birds I've had are slate legs so it is possible something of a Houdan going on in there.

Other than that, he is handsome.

I know this is an older thread, but I felt compelled to put forth my guess on the rooster. I would guess a golden-laced polish cross with Buff Orpington (large size and white legs). I agree with the other posts about it being a cross with a larger breed. I have both polish and buttercups, and they are both thinner in body shape.
If you put the gold-laced polish (ER/ER genotype) and the buff bird into the breeding calculator, the results look similar to your bird (with black tail and buff/gold semi-laced body).

Also, that would explain the comb since the polish has a v-comb, and the orpington has a straight-comb, where the two combined look similar to a buttercup comb. Also, the partial lacing on his chest would be coming from the laced-polish genetics. The 1/2 crest he has is caused by mixing the polish crest with a non-crested breed (Cr/cr is like a half-crest).

Regardless of what he is, he's pretty! Thanks for sharing the pictures!
