Is My Rooster Going to Eat Me?!

Oh! Thank goodness lol! The crowing thing you asked about totally depends on the rooster or cockerel in your case. If he was being aggressive charging and biting then the crowing would be a big no. But since yours isn't he's just alarming and he's young and still pretty ehh... no nice way to say it "dumb" I wouldn't fret too much. My boy crows everywhere and has never been agressive to people even kids. The breed of yours makes me worry a little that yours might change EE roos aren't always the nicest fellas.:)
Hahahahahaha!!! No, that's my sweet one! The EE walking around him is the one who squeaks at me.

So you're saying he might see me as a PREDATOR?!! Meaning, I need to send him away to live on the big farm because eventually, he will attack me?! :hit
It doesn't necessarily mean that, so please don't worry yourself to death. :hugs

Whether he'll be aggressive remains to be seen. It's hard to know what to expect at any given time out of a young cockerel. Just continue to let him know you're the boss around there (not that this has ever worked for me, but there's no harm done in the process :)), and see what happens! :D

Ok, so I figured out that my EE roo loves me. He's not going to eat me... he's just a, well... chicken :gig.
He wants to get close to me and hop on my lap like the others but was just terrified. He tries to protect me, the kids and the pullets from my big bad sebright roo, lol.
BUT THE SEBRIGHT... he's mean. Not to me... but he bullies all of the chickens and chases my cat. He has been grabbing everyone's neck feathers like crazy! He's tiny though...I can't imagine him hurting any of them too badly, right??

It’s not just an alarm,it’s a curiosity sound as well.I just call it a scream/trill.Roosters/Chickens will do to just about anything. When a robin goes flying through the yard he screams,or if a tennis ball goes flying through the yard anything.I think different volumes mean different things. When it’s curiosity it’s loud where as When it’s a predator it’s quieter, from what I observe, almost as if their trying to alarm but still keep quite so they won’t be heard nor seen.

My rooster is mean to everyone but my son and I. Just the other day I wasn’t home to let my birds out so my husband did and our rooster attacked him.
