Is my Rooster trying to attack me or court me?

Well i went out there today he was in my way i walked past him he went right out of my way he tried pecking me got up stomped my foot he backed up i think hes starting to get the point now any ideas on how to get him to respect me more? And no i don't pick him up everyday and pet him mostly i just give him some grass and leave

wow I am so glad my Rooster never went like that, he is just way too cool, I call him and he comes running and I throw down food and he calls all the ladies in, I have never tried to pick him up or pat him but I always talk to him. when i sit in the grass he will come stand by me but has never made any aggressive act towards me or any of my nieces and nephews! He is a Rhode Island red x Black Australorp cross!

You raised him just right. He's not afraid of you, but he does respect you. I can't say it often enough, make friends with your hens if you wish, but treat roosters like the potentially dangerous animals they are.

And sorry but i dont believe your saying because hens can be the same way and dont judge every rooster to be a dangerous animal there just like any other
