Even fav boys are confusing, they don't spar or chest bump past the chick stage. They don't hang out with other roos unless they're broodmates.And they loooooove to make nests and sit in them I have a video that i will post if you're interested in seeing it.

Wow, this breed is fascinating! Yes, please, I'd love to see the video!! I haven't seen any other chicken make such elaborate nests- not even my hens that are laying already!

Yes, Vera has five toes on each foot and sparse, light coloured feathering along the outside of her legs. You can see it if you zoom in on this pic.

They are so cute!! When I introduced my four week old babies to the flock, it was my big head cockerel that looked out for them and brought them to eat, scared the hens away from them so they wouldn't get pecked, and told them when to do what. Such good little daddies!

Poor Cookie there is in a weird spot he isn't head of anything except chick guarding. His brother is in jail, everytime he tries to get any lovin he gets flogged or attacked in the act "all by the hens".His dad is the only one who dosen't try to kick his butt on a daily basis. He will be a really good rooster though since he's getting his education.

Hahaha that's hilarious. Well, it looks like he might have found his calling! I love the intense eye contact he's making with you behind the camera! He is an excellent chick guardian!
