They aren't Orpingtons. If they were, they would have straight combs instead of pea combs. Your chickens would be referred to as Orpington mixes.It's a black orpington.. looks like 4 out of 5 orpingtonz are Roos.out of 10 mixed, we have 6 Roos now to re home.

That happened with my australoeps too. Bought sexed chicks and 8 of 10 were roos. But that explains why it looks so much like my australorps. They are Australian orpingtons and, in the US, always black. I miss my boys. One in particular was a great roo but wasn't prepared for boys.It's a black orpington.. looks like 4 out of 5 orpingtonz are Roos.
