I bought this SLW straight run from TSC. S/he has always been smaller compared to my other chickens. At 5-6 weeks of age, s/he still had her chick down but finally started getting her feathers once the flock was allowed outside each day. S/he is 8 weeks old now.

What do you think? I think pullet, but hopefully that's not just wishful thinking! S/he sure feathered in slowly, which I think is a roo trait.

I'll try and get another one or two for you tonight. This is not one of my friendlier birds, thus, the less helpful pics.

I will say that this bird has a smaller comb than my GLW of the same age. But again, I might just be seeing what I want to see!

So far her feathering pattern is more like a pullet. She does have thick legs-but her comb is not as big as it would be for a rooster of the same age. I'm saying pullet for now.

Hope you are right! We have one roo already and are hoping this one is a pullet.

Pullet. Rounded neck feathers as well. Roo would be pointed.
