I have the same question! Is my silver penciled Plymouth a roo? 6 weeks and little to no feathers across the back

That’s similar to how mine was at 6 weeks (see pic below). I read somewhere that roosters can be slower to feather. Also I think the females have more of the silver penciling than dark feathers around 8 weeks, but maybe give your little chick a few more weeks and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
