At six weeks to seven weeks, the cockerels begin to show bright red wattles and combs. It is then that one can sex them.
Secondary sexing experience leads one to watch certain birds carefully, for example, the upright stance and short tail feathers is common with cockerels at the age of your bird shown. But again, at 6-8 weeks? You'll know. Here's a couple of photos of how a 7 week old cockerel differs from a 7 week old pullet.
