is one of my embden geese a male.?

Can anyone help me with a question, I have two embden geese they are two years old. I got them last May, and I had no more than a dozen eggs, and never two in one day..Ive seen them treading, they look the same size and have the same colour bill/beak...can anyone tell if one is a male?

great to have you joining the flock

The only way I can tell is to catch them laying an egg, now
this close on is a female but I thought she was a male for
several years but after pinning them up one each to a cage
and watching which one produce an egg was I able to tell
then put a band on the leg ........ In size she was larger
then what turned out to be the male ............

Looks like two females to me! Although that breed of goose is hard to tell. The males usually have a little larger thicker head.

Im hoping that the egg laying this year will be a bit more regular,and I will get two eggs in one day,to be certain. I think their laying was disrupted as I recieved them in the middle of laying season.

They usually lay pretty good! I do not raise geese anymore but I have at different times in my life and really liked them.

Eggs are delicious also!
