Is Pharaoh a Roo?

This is my 11 week old silver-laced wyandotte (pullet?) Pharaoh-and compared to everybody else, her wattles are pretty big....(I'm told if you click on the picture it will get larger)

And can you tell me the breed of these free chicks I got from the hatchery? They are three weeks old:

I'd say your SLW is a roo because here is one of my SLW pullets at about 10 or 11 weeks old. Your free chick appears to be a Barred Plymouth Rock

I agree, and the Barred Rock in the pic appears to be a girl from her coloring. Although that's not 100%, right speckledhen?

You got that right, ella, LOL! Although, I do think you more often find light colored hens rather than dark colored roosters, the sexing rules for Barred Rocks are not 100% accurate.
