I don't know about treating birds with it but tea from wheat seed is a very good treat for me & very nutritious also high in fiber.

We keep hijacking these threads with food ideas. Sorry OP I guess I just love to eat. I cook the wheat beans over night in a thermos with microwaved water, a little salt & sugar to taste. In the morning I have a great hot cereal & a hot tea to go with it. You can make it from the rinse water that you use to germinate the seed also but I have never tried it.
