Is s/he a frizzle?

I’m 85% certain this baby is a roo. Comb is arched and starting to look more pink and it’s still very fluffy at 3 weeks. It’s an Atwoods straight run bantam and I think a black Cochin. As a new chicken mama, I’m not sure if the feathers come in looking kinda curled at the ends or if it’s a frizzle when that happens.

Thoughts? Too early to tell?

He's not being sweet, he's being precocious and testing your limits. Any pet treatment such as holding, petting, treats or coddling needs to stop now or you'll have a great chance of him becoming aggressive.

I’ve “coddled” many cockerels and not had them turn out aggressive. I’ve also had aggressive roosters who were raised completely hands-off. If the chick isn’t showing signs of aggression, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I appreciate your input! I’m more of a hold all the chickens girl but I’m new to this so I wasn’t sure if I was messing up.

Well. Definitely not feeling like he’s a she at this point. You can’t see the feathers but they flip out a bit and I’m still wondering if he might be a frizzle.
