Is "scratch" like "crack" for chickens?

Same here the same feed has been in the feeder for like two weeks. When ever i go to the coop, ethel, my biggest scratch addict pecks the bottom of the scratch bowl to make sure i know she is out.

I've never used "crack"...seems like all y'all have or you wouldn't be talking about it so! Where there's smoke...it will always lead to fire! There should be some rules in this forum like no dopers and no convicts!

WOW....At the risk of getting in trouble again I just can't let this go.

Lets take a look at this logic... If you talk about crack you must have done it. No... I see no logic or truth in that statement, only ramblings from a closed minded, holyer than thou, ignorant (Unknowing)individual. (Just my opinion).

If we assume that this statement has some basis in reality lets further assume that a person has done crack in the past, but has now straightened their life out. Don't think many people who are using crack would look at chickens as a way to make money to support their habit or would be willing to spend money on feed when they could buy crack. They put the crack pipe down and picked up an incubator. In stead of supporting this person and trying to help them overcome their addiction people like you want to alianate them. Kinda like Jesus did to that loose women Mary Magdoline. Oh wait no, he embrased her and helped her find a better life. But I'll bet the person that wrote this attends church every Sunday and lets everyone know how perfect they are. I've met the type. Same thing with a convict. If I met someone that had let their life go out of control enough to put a crack pipe in their hand or end up in jail on this board I would have to assume that they are trying to change their ways and commend them because its the human thing to do. Also because I'm not a perfect human being and remember how good it made me feel when I made mistakes and someone put a hand out to help me get back on the right track. Kinda llike Treat People As You Would Have them Treat You.

If we do make rules about no dopers or convicts I would like to also include cannibals.
To extend the convaluted logic I find in your statement that would include anyone that talks about cannibalism. OK, all you Catholics hit the road, you say "Eat of My Flesh Drink of My Blood" Bye.
After all you talk about it, you must be doing it right. WRONG!!!
The problem is that close minded perfect people are so wrapped up in their own Holier Tan Thou life they can't make room for anyone that isn't as perfect as they are, or they are putting up a front to hide the person they really are.. Also apparently they don't understand what a figure of speach is.

Don't mean this to be offensive to anyone, but if the shoe fits wear it.

Love the board, have learned alot. I have found answers to all the questions I have had just by reading the forums. Thanks to all of you

Tmfries, sorry I got in your thread without even addressing your question. That was rude of me.

Yea, I also find my chickens will wait for me to come in the coop in the morning waiting for their crack, I mean scratch. I suspect one of my Buff Orf hens has been trading ___ for corn.

Seriously, in the winter I don't think its to bad for them cause they burn it up trying to keep warm. But, I think they will have to go to rehab before the warm weather. Maybe they will switch their addiction once the grass starts to grow.

WOW Bob...That was amazing. And, sadly, true! And yes, my chickens ALL act like they're addicted to scratch!

I could make chickens stand on their heads and spin for cracked corn.

I never chase chickens when I have some and I always have some.
