Is sevin dust really safe for chickens? (permethrin and de)

Just FYI, Sevin is now illegal in several different countries, and it is also illegal to sell meat or milk with the residues in it. You may want to look up CARBARYL and be absolutely sure you want to use this on something you may want to eat or gather eggs from.

Neem oil is a great alternative and won't cause cancer or poison your meat. Something to consider ;)

I’ve heard to make applying easier and less messy you can add Vaseline (warm to soften) to powder and place under wings on but and behind the neck I’d imagine this drops the chances of the powder being airborne and having a less likely chance of it causing respiratory issues…. I’d still wear gloves and mask though can never be to safe
