Here is little snickers, is she a gold laced wyadotte?? She is 9 weeks old. I got her in a batch of 25 mixed brown egg layers from mcmurray hatchery. She is a sweet little chicken, she loves to sit on my lap for a scratch or two!!

Although she has more brown in her feathers than most dark cornish I've seen, she still looks like one to me. It's her body type, legs, and face that make me think she's dark cornish, not GLW.

I have two hatchery barnevelders and one has the same feather coloring as a breeder's barnevelder, while the other has a lot of red all over. Hatchery birds are sometimes off in their color (all my birds are hatchery and I love them, but they aren't perfect specimens or examples of the breed).

What type comb does she have? A wyandotte should have a rose comb and a dark cornish should have a pea comb. Is her comb the same type as your other dark cornish has. If she does end up being a GLW after all, I'd have to guess roo because of the size of her legs and stance.

her comb appears to me to be a rose comb, the dark cornish I have has a pea comb. that is why I thought she may be a glw. I have a slw and they look very similar in size, comb and stance. well maybe she is a little mut, it does not matter much to me, I raise my chickens for the eggs and as pets!! I love them all the same
