Is she a he? ....Also questioning breed

I can't see the comb clearly but if she came from a hatchery or feed store and is therefore most likely to be a pure breed rather than a backyard cross, I'm wondering if she might be a Buckeye?

All I can see in the photos, is that it is not a single comb and hatchery RIR are not usually Mahogany coloured either, so I would not expect a hatchery Buckeye to be to APA standard. I'm also not personally familiar with Buckeyes so I am talking out of my hat  but it just struck me as a possibility if the bird came from a hatchery and was supposed to be a particular breed rather than a cross.

Oh, I agree. My buckeye is a hatchery bird, and she's not quite mahogany, otherwise has the little pea and no wattles.

I bought all my girls from a farm supply store. They were labeled heavy breed pullets. It was a pretty mixed bag. I have a barred rock, 2 light Brahmas and 2 gold laced Wyandotte and whatever Dixie is lol.
