Is she broody?

I have a probably 10 month old pullet.She started laying probably back in November or mid December.She has lived with the differen roosters,two have been given away.She started meowing and being meaner the she usually is.And her stomach bone area is like molting.And I notice EVERY time a hen broods,she plucks down there.I started plucking a little.Two of my hens are loose down there,probably brooding soon.

Here are some signs of how to tell if you have a broody hen.

#1 They will purr and puff up when you pet them.
#2 They will pluck their under feathers to keep the eggs warm.
#3 When she sits on the eggs, they will feel hot.
#4 She will get really puffy around roosters. And will sometimes look like a male turkey.
#5 Their behavior will change.

To me your hens sound broody.

She isn't ina full blast then.

Day 2:
I was watching her.As soon as my red sex link hen that is much bigger in the pecking order then she is,she even tried fighting her.She was standing her ground.But once the red sexlink got in the house,broody hen stood between her in the nest box,really beginning to think she is about to brood.

Well,I have not caught her pulling,but afer she got up one day,some of her feathers were on the nest.

My last broody's would slowly progress ito he peeping,but would never go ino full sitting up until her stomach/chest area was plucked,probbaly what the next hen will do.

Sounds like your hens are almost ready to start sitting.
They usually don't get REALLY puffy around roosters and around you until they have sat on eggs for 1-2 days.
