Throw a couple twigs with ruff bark in there. The chick might urubb up against it. and break the membrane. Normaly the beak and toe nails break the membrane though.

It just slit the membrane, so I'm not gonna worry. I'll keep you posted.

It is almost out but, it doesn't look like it absorbed all of the yolk, is it too early? it is a little black chick with some white feathering.

Well, Minnie has two chicks now, One black/white and A silver/blue.

One has feathers on its feet and the other doesn't, but they both have 5 toes.

Two down 6 to go.
I'll go take pictures.
