Is something wrong or do I have a rooster?

These 2 hens are the same age and as far as I know same hatch, they came from a local Chicken hatchery bought at 5mo of age aprx 8mo old now. The comb and wattles are completely different. Do I have a rooster? Could something be wrong? Or is this a common thing?

At 5 months you would know if you have a roo.

If they have saddle feathers they are roosters. Hens have different combs as well. I had a lavender Orpington at 5 months and it started growing saddle feathers. They are feathers by the tail that droop down. And they are pointy, the hens have round feathers by their tail. Look by the tail in this photo, he is an Orpington cross.

I will get some better body shots of them when I get home in a few hours. I am 99% sure they are both hens. I get 2 brown eggs most days my other hen lays white eggs. Only have the 3 right now. Just wondering why the comb and wattles would be so different in the same breed of chicken, these 2 are self blue cochins.

If you got those from someone breeding for show then I'd expect the combs and wattles to look a lot like the SOP says they should. If you got them from someone breeding for egg production they don't care what the combs and wattles look like. If you got them from someone breeding for meat they don't care what the combs and wattles look like.

If the person that selects which chickens get to breed uses that a a priority then you can expect consistency. If they don't then don't expect consistency. I cannot see the comb on that first one to even tell if it is a single comb or a pea comb.

They are both hens.

So finally got some more photos. As you can see they are missing alot of tail feathers. I also see sparring sometimes between them. I have these 2 that are egg laying age and 1 that is not. I get 1 egg a day. I really think I have a rooster who dosnt crow...lol
