Hello,

I was wondering if this incubator is good for hatching quails and chickens?Does it have fluctuations?Would you recommend it for a begginer?

Thanks

If you could handle the extra $25-$30 for the 1588 you would get the more precise electronic thermostat along with the ability to operate off of 12v DC (car battery). Having said that the 1583 uses the tried-and-true wafer type of thermostat. The wafer takes more "fiddlin' with" to get it "right", but it works and thousands upon thousands of birds have been hatched with those.

The Hovabators are known to be more stable temperature-wise than the Little Giants.

You might look for the Hovabator 1586 ...it uses a 12v adapter (included) which means you could actually hook this incubator up to a car battery with the correct adapter...nice in case of extended power outages.

Best wishes,
