Is there a big risk if I take my chickens to the stream?

Well, it says here: "Wild waterfowl are the main vector and so it’s prudent to keep your chickens away from ponds and other areas that migratory birds congregate."
This is about H5N2.
Well, I have a little stream in my backyard. I thought that maybe in the summer I'd take the chicks to the stream to play around in. It's not a fast moving stream, but it isn't slow enough that you'd think it wasn't moving.
I've only once seen ducks there, and even then it was only 3 ducks before they flew away. I've been living here for 3 years. However, I can find ducks in a lake nearby. A quarter a mile away. And it's more like a pond actually.

My question is, should I still take my chickens to the stream if there is a risk of getting H5N2 from the ducks there?
Also, there are definitely ticks there, has anyone had a problem with ticks before?

Chickens really don't play in water like ducks.

They like dust baths.

What they would love is for you to set them up with a pan of food-grade DE mixed with sand/dirt and/or some woodstove ashes if you have them.
Oh, I don't want to take them in, it's just that around the stream there are loads of crickets and grasshoppers. I have a phobia of worms so I'm always trying to find substitutes for them. I've been buying crickets from PetSmart, but it wears you down after some time.

If they started to drink the water or enter it, would that be a huge problem?
