Is there a decent incubator for under $100?

I like mine because I was always forgetting to turn my eggs...now I don't have to worry about remembering. Lots of people just turn them by hand tho and that's fine.

It's like everything else ... and aid to getting closer to ideal incubating conditions.

Commercial hatcheries turn eggs about 96 times in 24 hours, and hatch rates are well up in the 90%s.

Most sources recommend manual turning at least 3 times a day, and auto-turnrs vary between 12 and 24 times in 24 hours. A chicken turns eggs about every 30 mins.

So .... either be diligent or buy and auto-turner. It's not essential, but it's probably the first upgrade people who don't have one want.
