Sounds like you may like pekins. They are decent layers, and an excellent, fast growing meat duck. However they are very noisy, and stampede at all hours when anything scares them. Muscovy ducks are great meat ducks also, just not as fatty as a pekin. They are much calmer than a pekin, and are very quiet.

So asking someone to tell you everything they know about ducks is to an extent rude since it implies they really don't know that much about ducks .... ask specific questions and most of us will try to answer like I did your second string of questions. BTW I made the resolution to be less rude in '09 last year you would have gotten the dragons flame!
