I was wondering if there is some kind of duck rescue group in the San Diego area, especially one that will also handle hybrids. I feel so bad when I see so many domestic ducks, like Indian Runners, that are really, really pretty but can't fend for themselves. At one lake, the staff there takes good care of the ducks and even take some ducks and geese home if they get sick or hurt, but in most public areas there is no one to do that.
On the other hand, I love so many of the ducks I see as many of the hybrids have grown up in front of my eyes.
I would also like to get involved with such an agency, if possible. I don't know if my allergies will be a hindrance, but I think it might not be so bad with waterfowl.
