Is there a pecking order here that I don't yet know about?

I was just wondering I know I am new here to this coop but this old hen doesn't like it when a few young roos fluff up their feathers to see what this old hen will do!

if you dont understand something just ask nicely and one us old hens will surely help you out. I realize I may get onto the wrong perch sometimes but hay its only a perch.

I have a saying just because something is written over and over doesn't make it true!

what if everybody still thought that the world was flat, it took someone to get into a sail boat and go around the world and now we know the world is round and thats all its going to take here is a few people to get into a sailboat and go out and find out things aren't as flat as it use to be

Being polite counts for a lot doesn't it? It just makes the world go easier. I got my feelings hurt on here the very first few posts I commented on. Not everyone is like that. Just ignore the rude people and soon enough you will find MANY kind, interesting, funny people.
Welcome to BYC.

Welcome to BYC fellow new comer! (Ignore my post count, it's mostly fluff)

Being kind, certainly does help!

Like other have said, ignore the bad ones and you will find the good ones are better than imagined.

I have found MANY MANY helpful folks on here in the brief time I have been a member. There are those with far more experience than myself that can tend to lose patience(VERY FEW in my personal experience) with my newbie questions, but I look through the posts and PM the nicer people for further explanations if something is still unclear. Many of those people check back with me to see if my problem is solved or if I need any other help.

I am too old to play games, but still young enough to learn new tricks..just might take me longer. .. or I might need pictures!

both the DH and myself are experianced farriers he tought me how to be a farrier when I thought that all my horses needed metal shoes put on. now I wouldn't do it eve,r but their are people out there who would never hire us because we don't do shoes and are like I use to be so I understand them.

I am sure its the same way with incubating or raising chicks and chickens and I treat it this way same as with the farrier stuff if they want to learn I am willing to teach, if they need help I me or DH and figure out the problem we work great together he can build, fix or design about anything(but don't tell him I said that) and I am great at biology.

I just hate it when some young roo tries to make me turn my comb red !

I was helping on the in the end about a lady who's chicks die just at peep or or hatch and I read one section of the topic someone had said that the airsac had o% humidity and someone had said no and I know here there has never been any water in the airsac of my eggs or eggs of friends here threw a hatch,

I got

Its not 0%. Its actually a bit higher than the humidity outside the egg because of the trapped moisture in the egg

they are just saying this to say it.

and if there is any water in the airsac its from high humidity not from the egg

Yes, there is something going on. I was new here and I found very valuable information. I was excited to have found a community of people who shared the same interest as me AND kept it clean! I started having so much fun.... Then I started to get the feeling that I was being excluded from certain groups and the same 'names' kept popping up all over me every time I tried to open my mouth. I eventually opened a whole new account and now I only surf for information, and I keep out where I am not welcome. I hide under the 'cheese burger' name and keep me mouth shut.

in any grouping of any kind there is going to be some sort of organization or pecking order so to speak. But I don't feel that it's all that bad here! Not compared to some places I've been! I'm proud to be on this forum and am enjoying it. But one must have a bit of a shell to them as there are always going to be times of dissagreement or being rubbed the wrong way. Intentional or not. But one has to ask, is it worth getting worked up about? It's something I'm trying hard at teaching my six year old about life who wears her feelings on her shoulder out in the open. I'm not saying blatant attacks shouldn't be answered to. But I think people tend to get offended too easily at times and make more out of something than really is. And frankly, this is just the forum. So hard to convey actual feelings in words! One person can take a set of words and get a different depth of feeling from it than the next person. So one must take things with a huge grain of salt and just ignore the stuff you wish to and enjoy the rest. I really don't see people on this forum in near the attack mode I've seen on others.
