Is there a rare breed hatchery/breeder somewhere?

I couldn't find a website for them...bummer. (Superior). Is there one? I've had mixed results from Sandhill and have actually gotten the best birds off this website!

THANKYOU I was busy searching all over for it LOL I have cree farms bookmared too thanks guys! I wanna find the very best I can, I have a great husband who already gave me the go ahead to buy as quality as I can find!

Heather - some time if it comes up - I could be a "customer" and pick up on the I-5 corridor!! I can drive over there pretty easily, it's 40 minutes or so....depends on who gets in my way and where I meet someone!

I just ordered my favorelle and some BBS eggs from you - but who knows, maybe started birds, or adults, or what...and you are on my lists for project stuff too!!

Chicken trains are great! So much better than Shipping, if someone happens to be down this way anyhow. I go to Redding once a month as well - it could work timing wise that I were going around the same time with the eggs for you and could meet up with the "train" carrier/cariboujaguars DH on the way back! Easier on the eggs!

Nice to have options!

Awesome. I'm actually considering parting with my lemon blue cochins.

I have two pairs and I have been trying without success to sell my one, extra male. I have finally convinced my hubby to "remodel" my existing coop and double it's size--which with careful planning, will commidate four large breeds & three bantam breeds. This will mean I need to get rid of several of my breeds. Besides my pair of bantam sultans, my porcelains, my light brahmas--now I'm considering my lemon blues as well. So if you're interested in any...

I am a good 5 hours from I-5 but if they ever come over I-90 towards Wenatchee or Yakima, that it more realistic for me.

Urch/Turnland hatchery has good stock. You'll have to call them, as they do not have a website.

Get back!!

My 11 year old wanted Sultans so bad, I caved and got him two from the feedstore once despite my better judgement...one we still have, her name is Rose, shes black and well, could be more "sultan" if you ask me? The other one became a Llama casualty...Phelldo was doing great although he was neurologically a mess (head trauma) but finally passed in his sleep one night, I didnt expect my son to cry like he did when we actually lost Phelldo??

The Lemon Blues are lovely too! We are shooting for Lemon Blues in the Old English Pen...And the Moderns as well, they are so pretty! I cant get enough of the Blues!!

Too bad I-5 is so far from you! Thats the main artery around here, I'm glad we're so close to it! Otherwise we have a couple of other small highways to get to it...

I called Superior Hatchery, they are very nice! If I could find 25 birds I wanted, their stock sounds, well, Superior!!! I wonder if their birds are truly like what I see at the shows, the big huge show birds, like a real Wyandotte, and the Real Minorcas, not small itty birds that have been bred down?? I am willing to pay more for the real deal....

I wish I could know for sure...they were so helpful!!!

Tina
