Is there a rare breed hatchery/breeder somewhere?

It's been quite some time since I've popped in here. Don't know why as I'm subscribed to the thread but haven't seen anything for quite some time.

Thought I'd let y'all know that I now have 6 new Buckeyes happily peeping in a breeder. These are from a breeder with excellent, if not outstanding, lineage and history.

I also obtained 15 Mahogany Russian Orloff eggs from my original Welsummer breeder. Some of you may remember the background on him. As far as we can tell, he may be the ONLY person in the USA to have MROs. They have them overseas but not here in the USA as far as we have been able to determine.

Neither of the above two will be available this year but I should have some next year.

God Bless,

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but what's the difference between a Mahogany Orloff and the Orloffs that are currently here?

A local 4-h group ordered all their chicks for a chick auction from Duane Urch last year. They were very let down by the quality of all tophatted/crested breeds, however the standard and clean legged breeds were nice.

I can personally recommend the white wyandottes.

It's just a different variety. Not recognized in the USA yet though.

God Bless,

Are they solid mahogany as opposed to the spangled? Just trying to figure out what they look like.
