Is there a reason he faces the corner?

Our young cockeral (pretty sure) doesn't roost with the other three girls and faces the corner to sleep? Any thoughts?

My roo does this because the girls pick on him

Do your girls peck at him before bed time?

I have kind of the same thing - a mature rooster with two mature hens, he faces the wall on the top rung of his roost while the hens face outward as normal.

Never understood why. I though it was just because he is a dumba....

He isn't new and he doesn't get picked on. Ever since he was a chick, he's always kind of 'beat to his own drum'. He is so cute . If he continues crowing, there will be tears...again. He may be our only boy, so I thought it may be a gender thing.
Thanks y'all!

Hey I was really glad to see this on here. My ROO does the same thing. All the chickies are on the roost, except ROO and three or four girls. They all cuddle and face the corner. No, ROO is not picked on and they have all been together since we got them. They are 4 months old. So no one has an answer or bestest guess for us confounded people?
