Is there a way to tell the age of a chick?

Hi,
So one if the chicks I got seemed to bet a month or two old, well now it's about a month later I found a super small egg. They aren’t that big but first things that came to mind was what if the previous owner had lied to me and they were close to laying bantams. Now I'm furiously on the Case and I'm trying to contact the previous owner but he won't pick up the phone, I need a tactic to tell the age of my 'chicks'!
