Is there any way of telling how old a chicken is by looking at it?

I think the leghorn is quite a bit older than the other two? The guy who sold them to me said otherwise. Also, where the leghorns feathers are growing back (evidently she flew into another coop and got pecked) the skin is healed but no feathers. When will they grow back? Also, there is waht looks like a black scab. She wont let me really look much, but is that a feather growing in?

I dont know... there were roosters where we got them. we dont have any roosters.

The bard rock and sandy one, maybe a sex link. Look to be young. The leg horn I wish I could help you out with. Either way they look like great birds and your kids look like they really enjoy them.
