Is there any way to train a rooster to mate with a hen?

The hens don't lay much nowadays,so maybe he roos won't mate with them while they aren't laying so much?
By fall the hens should be laying reguarly...if the roos still won't mate,

Oh and there is no way to "train" a roo to mate.
 
When cockerels first start to mature they will chase anything down with feathers and "do" it.

Once they mature, they are more gentlemanly and don't breed the hens so often.

Have you checked to see if your eggs are fertile?
 
We actually have not been getting eggs for a couple months because most of our hens are molting.
 
Usually they won't breed the hens if they are not laying eggs. Chickens mate for procreation not sex.
