half grown roosters???? I was just out with the chickateers - my 13 week old cockerels - TJ and Rowdy and Cash.
First I watched TJ try to mate a hen. Got his butt stomped into the ground for that one. Just like his daddy Thor, that one is young to mature.
So here they are, all three strutting around like they are the cocks of the walk. Bowing up at each other, chest bumping, just generally being testosterone crazed little idiots. Then I introduced them to a strawberry; their first.
None of the three would come quite up to the juicy red berry I held out to them, so I rolled it across the ground towards them. I have never seen anything with two legs run so fast. I think they headed for the hills.
Mean ol' strawberry!
