Is there something wrong? (VIDEO Link)

I won't try to quess the genders but that duck is MAD about something. they will do another neck thing when they are flirting. Read the whole body language it is about to attack that rooster and is just swearing at him instead. JMHO

LOL oh something is wrong alright...duckie looks ready to kick rooster butt. One of my males did that to the dog and then took off chasing the dog.

My rouen duck (Jasmine) does that to my snowy call duck (Blitz)! I can't figure out why she does it though. I'm pretty sure it's not aggression because she follows this call duck around everywhere. Jasmine seemed to grow very attached to Blitz after I rehomed her mate, Mumble. She sometimes chases the other call ducks away so it's just her and Blitz. I've also seen her make the mating noise around Blitz and she will also bob her head up and down trying to attract Blitz even though she is also a female.

She use to bob her head like that to Mumble as well so I wonder if it's some sort of mating thing?

Thats a relief, i thought something was stuck in the throat.
I have a duck book but it didnt mention this behavior and i tried googling but nothing came up so i recorded it.

That's a great video! When done in a friendly manner, it's thehussy head bob. It is indeed a come hither movement, except it can also be a warning when accompanied by much duck cussing and posturing as in that video. It's definitely a girl thing.

I have two ladies that do that...and they seem to both be the leaders of their flocks. I, personally, think it may be their way of telling the others what to do.
