Is there such a thing as a quiet rooster?

I agree! I love the sound of a rooster's crow. I may not have appreciated Edward (our ex-rooster) when he woke everyone up at 3 or 4 in the morning, but it's not like anyone looses a limb over it. It is possible to go back to sleep afterwards.

i have around 15 roo's all within 100 feet from my house,,, i would go crazy if they didnt crow all day

Hey all rooster crow lover come out of the woodwork and fight for rooster rights to crow, there is nothing wrong with roosters crowing, they crow at night? You get use to it just like your grandpa clock banging every hr does not wake you up does it?
If it does you need to see your shrink.

My Spangled Russian Orloff has a very soft muted, almost smokey crow. Sounds like a Nat King Cole Roo. Kinda sexy!-no wonder his girls love him so!

As I recently said somewhere else, sorry I don't remember the thread, noise complaints should be based upon the volume of the noise from the edge of the property and have no bearing based upon the cause of the noise: dog, rooster, power tools, music, party, etc.
