Congratulations, I am looking to get some too (longcrowers).

Roosters crow is one of beautiful wonders of nature.

People who do not like crowing rosters should not keep any birds, since birds in general make all kinds of sound like most of living creatures.

People who complain about crowing roosters should eat tofu instead of poultry meat, since without a rooster there would be no meat to eat.

I agree! I love the sound of a rooster's crow. I may not have appreciated Edward (our ex-rooster) when he woke everyone up at 3 or 4 in the morning, but it's not like anyone looses a limb over it. It is possible to go back to sleep afterwards.

My Spangled Russian Orloff has a very soft muted, almost smokey crow. Sounds like a Nat King Cole Roo. Kinda sexy!-no wonder his girls love him so!

As I recently said somewhere else, sorry I don't remember the thread, noise complaints should be based upon the volume of the noise from the edge of the property and have no bearing based upon the cause of the noise: dog, rooster, power tools, music, party, etc.
