George, the chicken previously known as Ginger, is way more colorful and shiny than my year-old RIR layers. I'm trying to sell him but am wanting to be truthful about his breed.

See photo. Okay, so I can't figure out how to upload my photo.

He's a brilliant, super-shiny-bright orange from neck to hackles, then a darker orange with chestnut, black-tipped wings, then a chestnut hind end with a black tail.

Thanks!

Thanks, Cybercat!

It doesn't sound like a bad thing, that he's a production red.

Practical/ethical question: Since he breeds true, should I change the ad title to "Production Red" or can I keep the RIR designation and then advise the inquirer of his status?
