Is this a baby possum?

I want one, too. Haven't seen evidence of predators in my yard, but I don't want to get complacent, know what I mean?

OP - that is def an opossum. Ew. The ones in our area rarely stay put for long unless they find a ready food supply. And they are pretty solitary. So if you see it on your cam again, it might be best to dispatch it.

Yeah, I'm happy I invested in them. I have 2 coops with cameras watching them. I edited my previous post. There are two Raccoons trying to get in. GC

Damn both working as a team...good thing you have those cams then!
I have a Moultree (I think that's how you spell it?) game cam. It has captured many predators around my rabbit hutches. It is very helpful, and I would recommend it!

I'll be sure to check the out on later on :D

I'm seeing a load of people here who have installed trail cams and such and it's making me want to do the same!

There isn't as many predators here but I'm guessing they're fun to watch back and see what's been around your flock right?
It is! We started with just a motion activated light and just ran out with the dog when it came on but never was able to see anything. So I ordered the cam on amazon. It does pictures and videos :thumbsup
The first night it was just my neighbors cat visiting lol now this little turd :barnie

Oh yeah, and they have taught me that coons can squeeze in through a 3 1/4 inch crack.View attachment 1798772. Coon is at top of coop. GC
ETA; there is also a raccoon on the ground at the far corner.
Oh no! We used to have a bunch of raccoons but haven’t seen them in a long time. Hopefully it stays that way.

Ah well I suppose it would also be good for keeping an eye on my other animals never mind just the chickens.

We do have night vision security cams but they don't go directly onto the chickens plus I doubt they'd pick up all our predators like the rats...ugh they're the worst thing we have here.

They took the head off one of my poor Quails :hit

I will definitely look into getting a trail cam though!
