Is this a black sex link male

Yeah, the similarity is what got me wondering. I think I'm leaning toward the BR now myself, the images of everyone elses BRs look a lot like mine.

You cannot tell until it's older if its a BSL or a BR. BSLs have odd, very silvery barring in the hackles and usually off - colored feathers, like a green tail feather or two. When they're young, they may have red leakage in some of their feathers (they are half RIR, after all).
