I never really saw veins in any of my eggs

That's not a very good incubator unfortunately. It's very rare that anything hatches in those. I've seen a lot of threads on them this year, and if any hatch you'll be incredibly lucky. If you don't have extra thermometers inside to check temp it's probably cooking your eggs. The digital readout is not accurate and is usually 3 or 4 degrees off from everything I've heard. Before trying again look into getting a better incubator or making your own. If you want to get chicks I would order chicks from a hatchery to get started. Hatching eggs is quite tough and you'll probably end up with a lot of boys. With a hatchery you can get sexed pullets, and if you want a boy you can get a sexed cockerel. You can only have one cockerel per 8 hens. Any other boys you'll have to eat or sell.This is the one
