Is this a boy or girl RIR?

Hello. I am new to having chickens. I have been told that this 15 week old RIR is both a boy and girl from multiple people. She trys to be in charge of the rest of the flock but not that good at it. Is not crowing but makes sounds loike the other girls. Looking to get a more expert opinon. Thank you for any insight you might have.

Male. I raise Rhode Island Reds. Those appear to be from a hatchery. Good luck and have fun...

I have the same situation with one of mine. 15 weeks, bossy, no crowing but very vocal. From the pictures of the saddle feathers you posted would I expect mine is female? I find this confusing!

Pretty boy! I too think you have a cockerel and I am jealous. My 4 RIRs are my sweet calm favorites and I wish one of them were gonna be a roo.

When the males first start to crow, it sometimes doesn't sound like a crow but with practice they get better.
