Is this a buff orp cockerel? (editing new pics 11/11/08)

Its a pullet. Looks like she is a little older than the other two she looks like she is laying or will be very soon!

I'm going out on a limb and say roo! I got three buffs that were all supposed to be hens but with a little time it was definate that 1 was a boy. Mine looked very similiar to yours and were the same age. Good luck with yours, I have kept him and they are 23 weeks old now.

Updating the original post with new pics. From the tail, etc., I think we have a cockerel on our hands. Opinions greatly wanted. If it's a cockerel, anyone in Western NC want him free?

I think the one with the red comb and wattles is Roo for sure. Looks just like my 5.5 month old Orp roo Hercules.

Thanks! Both of my pullets look alike and then that one with his wicked red comb and wattles and the tail filling in. Oh well...I'll figure something out. I don't need a boy in my laying flock. Not sure if I want one or not, but leaning towards no.

The neck feathers in the 3rd photo down appear to be cockeral-ish. I keep looking and looking but I just do not see a pullet in that photo.

I just culled 2 mighty nice BO cockerals this weekend.

I have several Buff Orphs and I observed that several develope combs faster than the others. Yours look very much like pullets to me. Mine are almost exactly the same age.
