We ordered 15 buff orpingtons and this one suddenly developed yellow legs and another one is getting yellow legs I think. I read in another thread that the Buff Rock looks much the same. The hatchery I got them from doesn't sell the Buff Rock but they have white rock and barred. Also, do you think it is a pullet or roo? It is 5 1/2 weeks old.

That looks like an Orpington pullet. Did it 'suddenly' develope yellow legs? or did you 'suddenly' notice them? I was shocked when I 'suddenly' noticed my buff orps yellow legs; esp. because they are show birds, only to find out that the color changes to white by the time (around) 3 months of age. Your little Orp still looks younger than that.

It developed yellow legs and there is another one developing them but the rest are white with a pink tinge. They are 5 1/2 weeks old.

CORN MAY cause yellow legs. They have the fluff around the legs like Orps. Otherwise it is beyond my 'not so vast' knowledge base

They are getting the chick starter. And then just the grass that they have in their tiny little yard.

what color skin does she have beneath her feathers...white or yellow? rocks are supposed to have yellow and opringtons are supposed to have white.
