I respectfully disagree, I think they are maggots. I found maggots in the droppings in my poop boards. I sprinkled table salt on the sand in the poop boards to deal with them, then cleaned the poop boards thoroughly. Permethrin also treats flies as well as lice, mites and I believe fleas, so I also treated the sand of the poop boards with permethrin spray, and tomorrow will obtain permethrin powder as well.
I did worm my chickens when I first saw this, thinking it was worms coming from the chickens, but then realized it was not. The flies have been very bad this year owing to high heat and high humidity. I hope this helps.
