In the future you might want to refrain from dragging strange chickens off the streets and into your flock.
That's a good way to bring a disease in and lose all your birds.

Maybe, as far as I know, turkeys and peafowl look more baby chicken shaped when they are younger. Has it began strutting?

Yeah.. my intention was to keep it isolated at first, but unfortunately as soon as it heard my other chicks chirping it went berserk trying to get to them and squished itself through the kennel cage, and then ran over and squished it’s way in with the full grown chickens lol. So I had to save it again and put it in the baby tank because I couldn’t contain it. I’ll be better prepared next time. Although I can’t imagine there will be a next time? How common are stray baby chickens?

I'm glad you rescued it- he or she looks very happy to have a safe place to call home and new chicken friends. This bird looks different from yours because it has a flat, dark comb and it has tight feathering. So it's just a different type of chicken. It could have gamefowl or Sumatra blood. You'll find out when it grows up. I hope you give us updates and new pictures as it matures.

Thank you that’s interesting... the Sumatra photos do have a similar beak and look to the face. But it definitely doesn’t have a green sheen to it. But like you said, maybe it’s just a mutt. I’ll definitely will post update photos as it grows. I appreciate all the replies!
