Question: OP, are you going to keep her alone?
Would she maybe be better off with maybe one more chick for company?

Hi. I have a baby BR at the present time with 4 PBR, I'm going to move the BR with her she is still very tiny and docile so she shouldn't pick on the special one.
Question: OP, are you going to keep her alone?

I will definitely research that. She made it through the night with my daughter waking her often to drink and eat.Even though there are no eyes her skull is thin enough to sense light directly in the brain.
She's not totally helpless, you can use light cues to train her.![]()
UP DATE!!!
She has made it through the night, but has not pooped or ate on her own. Cross our fingers she poops soon!
It would be killed most likely with the other chickens. It could do really well as an only pet.So my daughter works for TSC. She found this baby chick in a shipment. She has searched for any signs she has eyes and can't find any. Is this a common condition for chicks to be born with no eyes and what's her chance at a life with a flock?View attachment 1740865 View attachment 1740868 View attachment 1740869
I plan to.raise her indoor unless she bonds with the BR I'm going to put in with her as a companion. It would be killed most likely with the other chickens. It could do really well as an only pet.
I think you can train her to find her food. Just always leave the food and water in the same place and make tapping sounds on the container where the food openings are, like a momma hen. It should be pretty instinctive for her to peck. It might take a while but she will learn to find her food container.I plan to.raise her indoor unless she bonds with the BR I'm going to put in with her as a companion.
