Picking up 20 Barred Rock pullets from Rural King has been interesting with; 2 Rooster, 4 - 6 Mixed Breeds, and now I am looking at 2 with grey legs.

So is this a Cuckoo Maran?

, been my luck. Well one of the roosters actually looks nice (may end up keeping him - dang now I am doing chicken math!!!) The mixed breeds have grown on me, at 11 weeks they are bigger than the Barred Rock Pullets with nice wide hips, just wish I knew what the mix was, care to guess?

Call RK and find out which hatchery they order from. Any mixes coming from hatcheries are often Olive Eggers, or the like.

Marans, for informational purposes.. is ALWAYS said with the S at the end whether plural or singular after the French town they hail from.

Of the 6, two that are not completely white up front (second picture) do have a tint of green on the legs, other 4 are yellow.
